What are the requirements to participate in an exchange?

Requirements depend on the type of program and the chosen destination. At GEC, we offer detailed guidance for each type of exchange. 
For language study programs, you usually need to be at least 16 years old. 
For academic exchanges, you may be required to have a level of language proficiency, in addition to a good academic record.

Do I need to speak the language of the country I'm going to?

It is not necessary to be fluent in the language before traveling with GEC. 
We offer programs with language classes for beginners and more advanced students. 
However, if the objective is an academic exchange, we recommend a base in the local language to facilitate learning
